Wolborough Grange will provide a range of facilities to serve the new community, creating a cohesive and sustainable place to live. The proposals include two care homes, retail and employment opportunities, community building, public open spaces, areas for recreation and play and a site for a new primary school.

The local centre at Wolborough will be the ‘heart’ of the new community with a mix of commercial and community facilities. The proposals may include local shops, a pub, small scale employment opportunities, a shared community building, new homes, open space and a site for a primary school. The existing barns will be restored and converted. 

The precise details of the facilities to be provided together with the design and layout of the local centre will be discussed as part of a reserved matters planning application.

Land for a primary school is being provided on the site. This includes space for sports pitches and recreation grounds and a drop off area together with staff and visitor parking. The Local Education Authority will decide if a school is required in this location at a later date.
