OPEN SPACES

Wolborough Grange will include significant areas of open spaces including natural areas, formal and informal green space, play areas and allotments.

NATURAL AREAS

Natural areas throughout the site include woodland, grassland, scrub, hedgerow and wetland areas and provide residents with access to the nature on their doorstep.

Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) will manage surface water drainage and will be designed to provide additional opportunities for habitat creation and local amenity.

 

GREEN SPACES

The formal and informal green spaces will create areas for relaxation and recreation and include more traditional park environments. Children’s play areas will be located throughout the development to ensure access for all.

They will include equipped areas and more informal areas for adventurous play with natural play elements.

The allotments will provide opportunities for local, sustainable food production with the benefit of active leisure and social activity.

 

Significant areas of open space will be provided throughout Wolborough Grange, providing opportunities for recreation, relaxation and habitat creation with links to surrounding natural areas including Decoy Country Park.
